Human Capital Development

Human capital development

Africa’s people are the key resource for the continent. Development of the skills and knowledge of the labour force on the African continent is central to economic transformation. Investment in human capital by spending more funds to education and training is an important key to open the door for equitable social development in Africa

As an institute we focus on:

  • Encourage Policies and programs that build Africa’s Problem Solvers by instilling a culture of innovation to Africa’s young population through hands-on learning experiences, creative problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Encourage innovation challenge for youth to develop their conceptual ideas into tangible solutions that positively affect their community. Provide mentorship, design spaces, leadership training and seed funding. This involves collaboration, entrepreneurial and creative capacities in youth, ultimately promoting a spirit of innovation.
  • The institute works with marginalized young in low-resourced schools with an opportunity to learn problem-solving skills, communication and creative thinking through a STEM driven curriculum. By introducing topics like design thinking, programming and engineering to help build foundational skills and nourish a growth mind-set required to solve real-life problems.
  • We envisage provision of seed funding to support to STEM idea prototype implementation
  • Conduct a showcase event in low resourced communities where students share their ideas with their community
  • Curricula innovation, improvements in teaching and learning outcomes to meet the minimum proficiencies in mathematics and reading for both boys and girls
  • Help main stream population and reproductive health issues in education systems and curriculum
